Writing an SAT Essay

Writing an SAT EssayCan you write an SAT essay? That is the question asked by many SAT test takers around the country. There are so many essays that are required on the SAT that it can be difficult to know where to start. The SAT essay that is required will depend on the school that you apply to, your GPA and your standardized test scores. When writing your SAT essay, you will need to do research and be aware of the rules that are applied in the writing process. Once you find the information that you need, the only thing that you have to do is practice! I have prepared a sample SAT essay that will help you get started with your essay. In order to succeed in writing an SAT essay, you must think of it as a narrative and not a traditional essay. Although the essay is designed to provide information and debate the theme, the actual essay should flow as a story. Here is what to include in your story:Explain the main points of your essay in a single paragraph. Tell what the theme is and why it is important to the essay. Then state the main idea and how the article or story will solve the problem you are trying to address. By doing this, you will give the essay more structure and organization. You will then use your research to support the main ideas you have stated in your paragraph. Next, you will put into perspective your research by creating your character, using real people, and giving examples that you have studied. By using real people, you will show how your point will change the lives of real people. The next paragraph of your sample is also a good time to provide a summary of your entire research, writing and conclusion. In the end, the essay is designed to prove a point and not to just be a 'sport'. If you want to be able to answer the SAT with the best possible score, then you will have to create a thorough article. Now that you have an idea of what to include in your essay, you can begin to write your first sample. It is essential that you write a sample that includes your main idea, why it is important, and also your research that supports the idea. You can do this by using your imagination or by using some different resources to research.
